Dreams are not just some hallucinations or improperly organized thoughts that just bump into your mind while you are asleep. Dreams of family may affirm or undermine 'normal' feelings about ourselves. Dreams offer divine guidance and comfort, warn people of impending danger, and offer prophetic glimpses of the future. Dreams play a very important part of our subconscious guidance and will often bring messages even important warnings to us. Dreams often contain significant information for us, putting light on what has happened in our lives, or what is happening and providing insights about our future.

Interpretation:A snake within a dream often symbolizes transformation, resurrection or rebirthing. A snake bite may suggest self-sabotage,mysticism, healing, enlightenment,being highly sensitive to the vibrations of others,the penis,sexuality or sexual energy. A negative association with a snake may denote being afraid of your own power, choosing an indirect route or being unfocused. For many westerners, snakes represent fear or death. Something that is snaky may represent betrayal or insidiousnessA devious, sneaky or dangerous person, a snake in the grass. There are hundreds of different possible interpretations that originate within the world of the dreamer as well as from classical psychology. Effective interpretations can be especially powerful during more lucid moments upon first falling asleep or awakening.


Meaning


A fundamental basis for interpreting dreams is that the symbolic images and the actions during the dream have a unique meaning for the person. It has a specific meaning for each individual. DREAM TIP : Do not look for bizarre meanings to dreams. Rather than looking for bizarre meanings simply ask yourself what your feelings are right then and there and try to look for connections between the symbols and your own real life beliefs. Sometimes a symbolic meaning may apply and other times people who appear may simply represents themselves and pressing issues involving them. No two people will interpret the same symbols alike and often a series of dreams are needed to gain the true meaning.


Various problems or traumas from childhood can manifest in dreams so that interpreting dreams is very useful for discovering certain events from that time which have a decisive influence on the adulthood. Since the purpose of interpreting dreams is to help you know yourself better and improve yourself and your life, the next step is to think about the actions you should take as a result of your new found insight.


Effectively interpreting dreams is significant to our individual lives. Use your mind, your interpretations and your life to be a most effective human being. Dream interpreting can be based on your life experiences, past and present, to reflect how you emotionally understand those experiences. Through interpretation, dreams can teach us why we are who we are, what possibilities reside within us, how to solve conflicts, and how to best reach our highest aspirations and goals. Dream interpretation is not about what we think, its about allowing the dream to reveal itself. Interpreting dreams is an art as well as a science.
